If you have your NUVIZ App software updated (see the Note#1 below), it is your own choice to use either offline or online maps with your phone (or tablet).
This means that you do not have to download maps to your phone (or tablet) for your NUVIZ App in case you prefer using online maps. But if you want to use offline maps, you can download them easily with your NUVIZ App.
Note#1: You need to have a NUVIZ app software version released in October 2017 (or newer) to be able to download offline maps to your Android/iOS phone/tablet. (If you have an older NUVIZ app version, you can only use online maps in your phone/tablet). For more information about software versions, see www.rideNUVIZ.com/support/softwarereleases.
Note#2: NUVIZ HUD device uses offline maps only. They are stored in the internal memory of your NUVIZ HUD unit. This is why you need to use your Android or iOS NUVIZ app to download the needed offline maps to your NUVIZ before your first route navigation. There are no preloaded offline maps in your NUVIZ at the time of purchase. For more information, see the FAQ “How do I download maps to my NUVIZ?”
Note#3: Maps are offered free of charge by NUVIZ. You can download as many country maps as you wish for free. You just need a WLAN connection to download maps.
For more detailed instructions (in various languages), see our User Guide (pages 29-30). For the list of available country maps, see the FAQ “Which country maps are supported? / Do you have maps for my country?”.
